We have a message for the New York Times. The Marubo Tribes are filled with wonderful people who love life and are doing everything they can to protect their environment and their way of life.

In this special episode of Young Citizens of the World, we bring you an inspiring conversation with Chief Enoque Marubo, a revered leader dedicated to preserving the Amazon rainforest and his people's way of life. This unique opportunity allows our young interviewers from around the globe to engage with Chief Marubo, learning about his culture, challenges, and the importance of environmental stewardship. We also make a commitment to let our network of teachers assist his tribe in furthering their education and learning how to use the internet positively.

- A special invitation to join our next interview with Dr. Jane Goodall in the fall, focusing on environmental and animal preservation.

Also pay attention to the words of Allyson Reneau in this interview:

Allyson Reneau warmly welcomed all Indigenous leaders and youth, expressing her deep appreciation for our collective efforts to improve our lives and unite as one human race.

Chief Enoque, who had requested the satellite dishes, knew of Allyson through her renowned international work in space exploration. During her visit to the Javari Valley, Allyson witnessed the profound goodness, hospitality, and humanity of each tribe.

She expressed indignation about the unfair articles published about the tribe, which caused sadness and hardship by misrepresenting them as falling prey to the internet's evils without discernment. These articles failed to recognize the significant benefits of internet connectivity, as highlighted by Chief Enoque, who explained that it eliminates the need for hazardous travel through the jungle to communicate between the 20 tribes, allowing them to unite instantly to face challenges.

The internet empowers the tribes with a voice to connect with the world, and education can equip them to navigate the negatives of technology.

The leaders we cherish are deeply committed to the well-being of their youth, providing them with the best opportunities. This interview was a wonderful opportunity for children worldwide to extend a hand of friendship to the tribes.

Our work is one of preservation, nurturing all that is most beautiful and precious about our mission as Young Citizens of the World.
