When Two Interviews Became History
One of my favorite things about Young Citizens of the World is that sometimes you don't realize the significance of a moment until much later.
In September 2025, we had the privilege of interviewing the legendary Andrea Bocelli.
Just a few weeks later, we welcomed singer, songwriter, and voice actress EJAE.
At the time, they were simply two separate conversations with two remarkable artists who generously shared their stories, wisdom, and encouragement with students around the world.
What followed was truly extraordinary.
Over the following year, Andrea Bocelli and EJAE would go on to share some of the world's biggest stages. They both performed during Netflix's Christmas Day Halftime Show alongside Snoop Dogg, and in 2026 they reunited on the official FIFA World Cup 2026™ anthem, "DNA," bringing their voices to one of the largest sporting events on Earth.
This week also marks the one-year anniversary of Netflix's global phenomenon K-Pop Demon Hunters, whose soundtrack helped introduce millions of viewers to EJAE's incredible talent.
Looking back, it feels fitting to revisit these two conversations together as a single feature. They remind us that every interview has the potential to become part of a much bigger story.
Our heartfelt thanks to Andrea Bocelli and EJAE for inspiring more than 1.55 million students, 12,000 teachers, and 8,000+ schools across 37 countries.
