A week ago, students from around the world had the opportunity to hear directly from Lars-Christian Brask, Deputy Speaker of the Danish Parliament, in a thoughtful conversation about democracy, youth engagement, and global responsibility.

This interview is part of YCW (Young Citizens of the World) / JCM (Jeunes Citoyens du Monde) of the World, a global, teacher-led education initiative connecting 1.55 million students across thousands of schools with leading voices in public life, education, culture, and diplomacy.
With sincere thanks to Senator Tony Loffreda, Senator of Canada, for hosting. His leadership and support in helping make this important dialogue possible, and to Catherine Warren CEO for her ongoing guidance and commitment to student-centered global education.
This conversation also speaks to the strength and importance of Canada–Denmark relations, especially at a time when democratic values and international cooperation matter more than ever.
Grateful as well for the continued encouragement and example set by leaders such as Mark Carney, Filipe Dinis, ICD.D, FCPA, CPA, Dominic Barton Lloyd Axworthy, PC, CC, OM, Ph.D. and Bob Rae whose work continues to inspire young people to engage seriously with the world they are inheriting.
The interview is now live and already being used in classrooms worldwide:
