We recently had the privilege of welcoming Audrey Nuna, the artist and voice of Mira in K‑Pop Demon Hunters, for a youth-led conversation that will stay with our students for a very long time.
What made this interview truly special wasn’t just who Audrey is — it was how she showed up.
From the very beginning, Audrey spoke with honesty and warmth about growing up shy, finding confidence through music, and learning to trust her own voice. She didn’t simplify her answers or rush past difficult ideas. She listened carefully to student questions and responded with real thought, encouragement, and kindness.
A Moment That Defined the Day
Halfway through the session, our students surprised Audrey by singing for her live.
She paused. She smiled. And then she told them something extraordinary:
that hearing them sing was the highlight of her entire year.
For our students — many of whom had never sung publicly before — that moment was transformative. It reminded them that their voices matter, that courage can be quiet, and that art creates real human connection across screens, borders, and generations.
More Than an Interview
Audrey also shared why joy and hope matter right now, especially for young people growing up in a fast-moving, often overwhelming world. Her message was simple but powerful: think for yourself, stay curious, and don’t be afraid to say your dreams out loud.
This is exactly what Young Citizens of the World is about — not performances for kids, but conversations with them.
We are deeply grateful to Audrey Nuna for giving our students her time, her voice, and her sincerity.
